Pattern Recognition

We mainly investigate shape analysis; representations of curves in 2D and 3D; similarity measures for objects in both 2D and 3D, and compactness measures Euler characteristic through the contact perimeter; analysis and representation of lattice knots; codes chains; representation, analysis and recognition of trees and compression techniques.

Chain Codes

The goal is to represent 3D curves that are invariant in translation, rotation and scale using chain codes. A unique descriptor is defined for each curve focused on the recoginition and analysis of the curves.
