We sought to: a) Evaluate the associations between anthropometric measurements and two indirect measures of eye size: optical coherence tomography (OCT) scanning focus, used as a proxy for axial length and refraction; and focus, i.e. eye size, corrected disc-fovea distance (DFD) in mm. b) Account for confounding demographic variables, such as age and sex, in our analysis to isolate their effect on the measured correlations. c) To systematically identify the anthropometric measurements with the largest statistically significant partial Pearson correlations (PPC), i.e. after removing the effect of age, with DFD and focus separately for men and women.
